Pittsburgh is proud to be the first city to launch Smart Loading Zones with our partners, Automotus and the Pittsburgh Parking Authority. Automotus’s technology allows us to analyze trends in our loading zone usage so we can make better informed policy decisions. This technology is also increasing enforcement which is leading to better utilization of our curbs by lowering circling, increasing usage, and decreasing traffic conflicts. Our first year of our pilot has been a resounding success and we look forward to the next two years and more zones.
