Automotus Partners with Lincoln, NE to Provide Multimodal Analytics in City's Downtown

Los Angeles, CA — Automotus, a leading provider of automated curb management solutions, is excited to announce its partnership with the City of Lincoln, Nebraska, to provide curbside analytics aimed to inform future parking policy as part of its Downtown Corridors Project. This collaboration marks a major step in Lincoln's efforts to improve mobility policy and curbside parking management to enhance road safety and reduce congestions.

In a concerted effort to address traffic-related concerns, the City of Lincoln is undertaking a comprehensive curbside analytics program. This initiative is designed to leverage multimodal data to support policy changes, optimize traffic flow, and enhance overall urban mobility. By utilizing Automotus' advanced technology, Lincoln will gain valuable insights into curbside usage, parking patterns, and transportation trends, enabling informed decision-making and effective urban planning.

"Automotus is thrilled to collaborate with the City of Lincoln on this important initiative," said Matt Brooker, Vice President of Sales at Automotus. "We're excited to see our solutions help Lincoln make informed policy decisions based on real-world data and ultimately make streets more efficient and safer by reducing double parking and improving parking turnover. We look forward to a successful partnership that sets a new path forward for the city."

The curbside analytics program will focus on gathering and analyzing data related to various modes of transportation, including vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians as well as types and frequencies of violation and parking dwell time along the O Street corridor of Lincoln's Downtown.

“The data collected will provide us with a deeper understanding of curbside and traffic activity in one of our busiest downtown areas,” said Tony Bisesi, City Parking Manager. “This information is crucial for making informed decisions that will improve safety, accessibility, and overall urban mobility in Lincoln.”
