In 2017, good friends Jordan Justus and Harris Lummis were studying at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles when they came across an article detailing how one-third of urban traffic is caused by parking—a challenge they knew all too well as LA natives. The pair had recently taken a class on computer vision and had the “lightbulb moment” to apply that technology to solving traffic and parking problems on campus.

However, what started as nerding out on AI and building automated traffic enforcement technology for the university, over time evolved into a much bigger mission—building a new way for cities and airports to manage the rapid rise in commercial vehicle traffic and CO2 emissions in our communities.
